Hammond Garden Club picks Lewis yard
Hammond Garden Club has selected the yard of Terry and Alton Lewis on 18026 Ashton Drive in the Ashton Heights Subdivision off Pleasant Ridge Drive as its Garden of the Month for September.
By the street orange and hot pink vinca bloom along with deep pink mandevilla decorating the mailbox. The front yard has a tall oak tree surrounded with large beds of dwarf azaleas in orange and bright pink.
White vinca and yellow lantana also add to the colorful flower decor. By the front door, large pots of variegated crotons greet visitors. Potted plumeria gives added interest.
The backyard has large white oak trees with yellow lantana, azaleas and tri-color ginger, all accenting the pool and waterfall.
Everything reflects the interest and attention to detail of the Lewises, said garden club member Sylvia Dileo.
